This data privacy statement pertains specifically to the handling of personal data collected during the online application process, in compliance with the new data protection law in Switzerland, effective from September 1, 2023. Our intent is to inform you about the procedures involved in processing your personal data collected during the online application process according to the requirements of the new law.
 
 
Collection of Personal Data in the Application Process
Personal data refers to any information concerning the identified or identifiable details of an individual. This encompasses data such as your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and information related to your career that could be used to identify you. Nonetheless, data that cannot be directly or indirectly linked to your real identity is not considered personal data.
 
Principles and Objectives of Processing Personal Data from Application Materials
In the event of an electronic application, submitted through means like email or our online form, we will collect and process your personal data with the purpose of facilitating the application process and preparing contractual matters. Your submission of an application through our recruitment platform signifies your interest in potential employment with us. Consequently, the personal data you provide will be used and retained exclusively for the application process and your job search.

Data Storage Duration and Purpose
The personal data you provide will typically be stored solely for the purpose of filling the specific position you applied for. Following the conclusion of the application process, your data will be retained for a period of 180 days. This retention serves legal compliance and the potential need to address any claims that might arise from legal obligations.
 
Post this period, your data will be anonymized. Anonymized data will be available only as metadata, devoid of any direct personal references, for statistical analysis (e.g., gender distribution of applicants, application count within a specific timeframe, etc.).
 
Furthermore, there is an option to retain your data for an additional 180 days after the application process concludes, specifically for inclusion in our Talent Pool. This may be to identify other positions that align with your interests. By accepting this data privacy statement, you provide consent for such further data storage and inclusion in our Talent Pool.
 
In the event that you are offered and accept a position with our organization during the application process, the personal data gathered as part of the application will be stored for the duration of your employment.
 
Sharing of Data with Third Parties
Data transmitted during the application process will be encrypted using TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is managed by Personio SE & Co. KG, a provider of human resource and applicant management software solutions (https://www.personio.com/legal-notice/).
 
Final Provisions We maintain the right to modify this data privacy statement as required, to ensure it remains in accordance with the prevailing legal obligations or to adapt to changes in the application process and related processes. Any amendments will apply to subsequent visits to our recruitment website or any future job applications.

Processing of (personal) data by the operator of the recruitment website

This recruitment website is operated by Personio SE & Co. KG, which offers a human resource and candidate management software solution (https://www.personio.com/legal-notice/). Data transmitted as part of your application will be transferred using TLS encryption and stored in a database. The sole controller of this data within the meaning of article 24 of the GDPR is the enterprise carrying out this online application process. Personio’s role is limited to operating the software and this recruitment website and, in this context, being a processor under article 28 of the GDPR. In this case, the processing by Personio is based on an agreement for the processing of orders between the controller and Personio. In addition, Personio SE & Co. KG processes further data, some of which may be personal data, to provide its services, in particular for operating this recruitment website. We will refer to this in more detail below.

Access logs (“server logs”)

Each access to this recruitment website automatically causes general protocol data, so-called server logs, to be collected. As a rule, this data is a pseudonym and thus does not allow for inferences about the identity of an individual. In addition, processing this data is absolutely necessary under security aspects, in particular for access, input, transfer, and storage control. The scope of this log process does not exceed the common log scope of any other site on the web. These access logs are stored for a period of up to 7 days. There is no right to object to this.

Error logs

So-called error logs are generated for the purpose of identifying and fixing bugs. This is absolutely necessary to ensure we can react as quickly as possible to possible problems with displaying and implementing content (legitimate interest). As a rule, this data is a pseudonym and thus does not allow for inferences about the identity of an individual. The legal basis for this is §25 subsection 2 Sentence 2 TDDDG. When an error message occurs, general data such as the domain name of the website, the web browser and web-browser version, the operating system, the IP address, as well as the timestamp upon occurrence of the respective error message and/or specification is collected. These error logs are stored for a period of up to 7 days. There is no right to object to this.
